Framed commercial glazing
Aluminium door and window systems can be configured for commercial entrances, fixed glazed screens and opening windows. The appropriate arrangement depends on the building, opening, daily use, ventilation, glazing, hardware and performance requirements. This page is a specification starting point, not a promise that one profile suits every application.
Glass make-up, frame construction, seals, drainage and perimeter interfaces affect thermal, acoustic and weather performance. A double-glazed unit does not by itself establish the performance of the complete installed opening. The quotation should identify the frame system and glazing being proposed and any performance evidence required by the project.
For doors, confirm opening direction, threshold, clear opening, closer, hinges or pivots, handles, locking and expected traffic. For windows, confirm opening mode, restrictors or controls where relevant, cleaning access and ventilation need. If a powered operator is added, use the automatic-door specification route rather than treating it as ordinary hardware.
The approved colour reference and finish must be compatible with the proposed system and recorded in writing. Cleaning and inspection should cover frames, drainage paths, seals, glass and hardware. The handover information should state the actual maintenance regime rather than a generic “low-maintenance” promise.
Send the postcode, photographs, approximate dimensions, intended opening type, glazing need, colour direction, user/access requirements and any drawings. Price depends on the system, sizes, opening elements, glass, hardware, finish, access and installation scope.
