Before you request a quotation
These answers explain the current quote-only process. Your written quotation and approved specification define the actual product, price and project terms.
How much does a new shopfront cost?
There is no approved universal price range to publish. Cost depends on the measured opening, aluminium, glass or timber construction, door and glazing arrangement, hardware, finish, shutters or signs, removal work, access, delivery and installation. Send photographs, the postcode and approximate dimensions for a written quotation. The quote must show the price and VAT basis separately.
How much does a commercial roller shutter cost?
No verified standard price or range applies across the catalogue. Width, height, solid, perforated or grille construction, guides, housing, manual or powered operation, controls, finish, access and installation all affect the quotation. The previous unsupported fixed web prices must not be used.
Does the quoted price include VAT?
The website does not assume a VAT basis. Each written quotation must state whether VAT applies, the VAT amount where applicable, and whether the displayed total includes or excludes it. Ask for clarification before approving a quote if this is not shown.
Are delivery and installation included?
Only if the written quotation expressly lists them. Delivery, unloading, access equipment, removal, disposal, installation, electrical work and making good should be itemised or clearly allocated so both parties understand the scope before approval.
How long will manufacture and installation take?
No fixed lead time is approved for publication. The estimated programme depends on survey completion, specification approval, material availability, production capacity, site access and the work involved. The quotation should provide the current estimate, and any later scope change may affect it.
What happens during a site survey?
The survey should review the opening dimensions, levels, surrounding construction, entrance or shutter arrangement, available space, existing services and components, access restrictions and interfaces with the fascia, glazing or building fabric. It also identifies information or approvals that remain the customer’s or project team’s responsibility.
What should I send before arranging a survey?
Send the property address and postcode, clear exterior and interior photographs, approximate width and height, the system or problem you want to discuss, preferred appearance, access restrictions and target completion period. Include drawings or landlord criteria if available.
Can you manufacture from measurements I provide?
Customer measurements can support an initial discussion, but they are not automatically accepted as final manufacturing dimensions. The quotation and order process must state whether a site survey is required and who is responsible for approving the final dimensions.
Which shopfront materials can I ask about?
The current service covers enquiries for framed aluminium, glass-led and timber shopfronts. The exact frame, glass, timber, door, hardware and finish are specified for the project. The site does not claim that every material or system is held in stock.
Which roller shutter types are available?
You can discuss solid curtains for full closure, perforated curtains for partial visibility and airflow, punched or glazed formats where available, and open rolling grilles for stronger view-through. Final product availability and construction are confirmed in the quotation.
What is the difference between solid, perforated and grille shutters?
A solid shutter blocks the view through the opening. A perforated shutter provides partial view-through and airflow. An open grille normally retains the greatest visibility. These descriptions are functional comparisons, not security ratings or certifications.
Can the shopfront or shutter match my brand colour?
Colour and finish options can be discussed, but the final reference, sheen, material compatibility and availability must be written into the quotation. Do not rely on a screen image as an exact colour sample.
Can a shutter be coordinated with a new shopfront?
Yes, the shopfront frame, door, fascia, shutter guides and housing can be reviewed as one coordinated frontage. The quotation must identify which elements are included and who is responsible for interfaces, power, access and making good.
Do you offer automatic doors or bi-folding doors?
The site accepts enquiries for automatic entrance and bi-folding door projects. Suitability, door arrangement, operation, controls, glazing, access, power and project responsibilities are assessed for the premises and confirmed in writing.
What warranty do you provide?
No blanket duration or “all work guaranteed” claim is approved for the website. If a product or workmanship warranty is offered, the written quotation must state its duration, covered items, maintenance conditions, exclusions and claim process before the order is accepted.
Can I cancel or return a made-to-measure product?
Made-to-measure goods and installation services may be treated differently from standard goods. The owner-approved cancellation and returns terms must be provided before ordering and must respect applicable statutory rights. Ask for the terms in writing before approving manufacture.
Do you repair existing shopfronts and shutters?
Repair enquiries can be submitted with the site postcode, photographs, system details and description of the fault. An assessment is needed before availability, scope, price or attendance can be confirmed. Do not operate or approach equipment that appears unsafe.
Which areas do you cover?
Enquiries are welcomed from London and surrounding areas from the Barking contact point. Projects farther away can be assessed individually. Delivery or installation in a particular location is confirmed in the quotation rather than guaranteed by a blanket nationwide statement.
Will I need planning permission or landlord approval?
Requirements depend on the property, location and proposed work. External alterations and signs may require landlord agreement, planning or advertisement consent, building-control input or other approvals. The responsible parties should establish what applies before manufacture; the quotation should state who is doing that work.
What maintenance will the system need?
Maintenance depends on the frame, glass, timber, shutter, door, hardware, finish and operating system selected. Any required inspection, cleaning, lubrication, adjustment or coating care should be supplied for the actual product at handover. Do not apply generic intervals that have not been approved for the system.
What should a complete quotation include?
It should identify the system, materials, dimensions or survey basis, components, finish, price, VAT, delivery, installation, access, removal or making good, estimated programme, payment stages, exclusions, cancellation terms and any warranty. Ask for missing items to be clarified before approval.
